Verantwoordelijkheden

• Je ben beschikbaar als klasleerkracht voor een lesopdracht in het tweede leerjaar van het lager onderwijs tot het einde van het schooljaar.
• Je kan enthousiast invulling geven aan de leerdoelen en leerlijnen voor de domeinen van het lager onderwijs/ basisonderwijs.
• Je past je onderwijsplanning aan de curriculumeisen van de Europese Scholen aan.
• Je bent gemotiveerd om in een meertalige en multiculturele omgeving te werken: je geeft dagelijks Nederlands als vreemde taal (L2) aan anderstaligen (0.5u/ dag -2.5u/week).
• Je werkt nauw samen met je NL-sectiecollega’s en met collega’s uit andere taalsecties
• Je stimuleert het ontwikkelen van een zelfstandige werkhouding bij je leerlingen
• Je zorgt voor differentiatie in je lessen
• Je zorgt aan het eind van het schooljaar voor een goede gegevensoverdracht van je leerlingen aan je collega’s en de sectiecoördinator.

Profiel en vereisten

• Volledige bevoegdheid voor het lesgeven in het lager onderwijs /basisonderwijs (Educatieve Bachelor in het Lager Onderwijs / Basisonderwijs)
  • Kandidaten komen zonder dit diploma niet in aanmerking voor deze job.
• Hiermee val je in het bijzonder op:
  • je bent organisatorisch sterk en stipt
  • ervaring in het onderwijs aan leerlingen voor wie Nederlands niet de moedertaal is
  • ervaring met kinderen die een zorgprogramma of leersteunpakket krijgen
  • een werkachtergrond in het internationale onderwijs of in interculturele onderwijssituaties
  • goede ICT-vaardigheden
  • muzische vaardigheden zijn een pluspunt
• Moedertaalspreker in het Nederlands of talenkennis niveau C2 gestaafd met officieel certificaat 
  • Kennis van 1 of meerdere voertalen (EN/FR/DE) is een troef 
• Kandidaten hebben het recht om in België te werken 
• Kandidaten bezitten een recent uittreksel uit het strafregister model 2 (“Certificaat goed gedrag”) 

Selectie procedure

• Registratie kandidatuur via de schoolwebsite 
• Eerste selectie op basis van diploma, CV en motivatiebrief op 04/01/2026
• Interview met het selectie comité op 09/01/2026
• Tweede interview met de directeur voor de 2 beste kandidaten 12/01/2026
• Validatie van je diploma door een nationaal inspecteur 
• Geschikte kandidaten worden toegevoegd aan de reservelijst. We houden deze lijst voor een maximum van 3 jaar. 

Aanbod

• Een dynamische job in een internationale omgeving 
• Een contract van bepaalde duur van 15/01/2026 tot einde schooljaar, met mogelijkheid tot verlenging volgens het dienstreglement voor lokaal aangeworven leerkrachten in de Europese scholen (Ref.: 2016-05-D-11-en-1) 
• Bruto maandsalaris van 4 928,67 EUR voor 25.5 uren per week

Responsibilities

• You are available as a class teacher for a teaching assignment in the second year of primary education until the end of the school year.
• You enthusiastically implement the learning objectives and learning pathways for primary education domains.
• You adapt your teaching planning to the curriculum requirements of the European Schools.
• You are motivated to work in a multilingual and multicultural environment: you teach Dutch as a foreign language (L2) to non-native speakers daily (0.5 hours/day – 2.5 hours/week).
• You work closely with your colleagues in the Dutch section and with colleagues from other language sections.
• You encourage the development of an independent work attitude in your students.
• You ensure differentiation in your lessons.
• At the end of the school year, you provide a thorough handover of your students’ data to your colleagues and the section coordinator.
• Follow syllabus L1 NL (), mathematics () and others ()

Profile and requirements

• Fully qualified to teach in primary education (Educatieve Bachelor in het Lager Onderwijs/ Basisonderwijs)
  • Candidates without the appropriate diploma cannot be considered for this position.
• You stand out particularly for:
  • Strong organizational skills and punctuality
  • Experience teaching students for whom Dutch is not their native language
  • Experience working with children who receive special support programs or learning assistance
  • A work background in international education or intercultural teaching environments
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Artistic skills are a plus
• Native speaker or language knowledge with official certificate by an independent certifying body
  • Knowledge of one of the other vehicular languages (EN/FR/DE) is an asset

• Candidates must be entitled to work in Belgium
• Candidates must be in possession of a recent DBS check ("Certificate of good conduct")

Selection procedure

• Validation of the diploma by a national inspector
• Suitable candidates will be added to the recruitment reserve list. We keep this list for a maximum of 3 years.
